No Emmaboda

June 14th, 2010 | Martin Hanberg | | Comments

The plan was to play at Rasslebygd (Emmaboda in peoplemouth) but we turned the offer down. We haven’t found a new drummer yet and during this summer we live in three different cities, spread out over Sweden. It’s hard to find the time, place and money to gather and rehearse, which we wanted to do to give the best performance possible. Luckily enough, we are not a headline act so the festival will surely manage without us. Still, if there are people who really wanted to see us, we wish to apologize. It’s not a good thing to break a promise. We don’t do this to fuck people over, we are not pure evil. But we don’t have that much energy and money at the moment.

Have a lovely summer and take care of each other //Kommun

Some reviews

To be honest, the silence isn’t complete. Here are some more reviews of the album:

Norrköpings Tidningar (4/5)

or Östgöta Correspondenten (same review as above, but with a picture!)

Upsala Nya Tidning (3/5)

Nerikes Allehanda (2/5)

And if you click on the tag “Visa kommentarer” in this blogpost from SVT:s PSL, you can read a very positive report from our gig in Malmö last Saturday:

“I ett rus av lycka”

The silence

Traditional media in Sweden haven’t really noticed Kommun at all. No articles, no reviews, no radio, no tv. There are some exceptions, though, mostly from the local newspapers in my old home town, Östersund:

Funny how the picture kills the headline
The first article about Kommun
Another work of Frida Johansson
A not so positive review from Skåne
The second review

Some new stuff from the so called blogosphere as well:
